“From sound design to musical design”
Auditory culture, oriented towards sound, combines all auditory experiences as musical possibilities. Design, oriented towards facts and objects more specifically, reduces sound to practical use. On the one hand, a sound recording allows access to amplified sound and its infinite reproduction through machines that increase added value. On the other hand, the concept of reproduction is constitutive of design objects, it represents the objectification of sound. In both cases, the environment influences the auditory reality, by contributing to the process of creation.
